Switzerland presents itself the Milano Expo 2015 with the objective of reinforcing its bilateral relations with Italy and to appear as a convincing partner for the future.
Before ancient Rome, the Alps were already crossed for commercial purposes. The Simplon Pass is the first major axis between Italy and northern Europe. Milano was born at its intersection with the other major roads in the plain of Lombardy.. The first and last image of Switzerland that will be perceived by any Italian merchant is the Alps. The swiss pavilion is conceived as an archetype of this landscape. |
